01Where can I download Vesometr, and is it on RuStore?+

Vesometr already has a RuStore listing. Check the current version and installation availability on that listing. The official download page separately provides the version 1.2.2 APK for Android 7.0 and later, with its size, package identifier and SHA-256 checksum.

02How do I update while keeping my entries?+

First create a JSON backup and save it somewhere you can access outside the app. Install the official APK over a compatible existing installation; do not uninstall Vesometr beforehand. Check entries and settings afterwards. If Android rejects the update, do not remove the existing app to bypass the error: check the file source, package compatibility and signature first.

03Do I need an account or an internet connection?+

No account is required. The working journal is stored on the device, and the version 1.2.2 release manifest has no INTERNET permission. However, PDF and JSON files shared with email, a messenger or chosen cloud storage become separate copies governed by those services. Offline app operation does not prevent your phone from sharing files through other applications.

04What is in JSON, and does my PIN protect the file?+

JSON contains settings and supported weight, meal, blood-pressure, smoking and diary entries, plus medication cards. The PIN secret and biometric setting are excluded. The file is written as ordinary JSON and is not encrypted with the app PIN. Choose protected storage and do not send a full backup instead of a smaller consultation document.

05Does restoration merge old and new entries?+

No. Restoring JSON replaces the current local data with the selected backup rather than merging two journals. First preserve a separate copy of data already on the target phone. Its current PIN and biometric setting are retained. After import, compare several dates, the medicine cabinet and settings, then check Android notification permissions separately.

06What does the version 1.2.2 PDF contain?+

The PDF is based on blood-pressure entries with pulse. Weight and smoking can be added for corresponding days; wellbeing and comments come from the blood-pressure entry according to the selected report options. Optional data and chart settings are available. Meals, the free-form diary and medication cards are not exported. Table rows follow blood-pressure readings: a day with weight alone does not create a separate row.

07Can I restore from PDF, or send JSON to a clinician instead?+

PDF is for reading and discussing supported entries, not restoring the database. Use JSON for transfer and restoration. Full JSON discloses a broader set of personal data and is not a convenient clinical report. For a consultation, open the finished PDF, check its period and recipient, and prepare medicines and any other relevant context separately.

08Which mood scale is available?+

A free-form diary entry offers five mood emoji and a text explanation. This is a personal note rather than a clinical scale or automatic health assessment. If you record your own sleep, energy or pain ratings, explain their meaning in a note; version 1.2.2 has no separate built-in numerical scales for those. The free-form diary is not included in the version 1.2.2 PDF.

09How can I record a smoke-free day?+

The version 1.2.2 smoking form accepts a count of at least one cigarette, so it cannot save a zero entry for that day. Use a separate diary note for a smoke-free day. Do not add a cigarette simply to fill the form, and do not treat a missing entry as proof of abstinence: it may be a recording gap. Distinguish a confirmed smoke-free day from an unknown day.

10Do reminders confirm that I took a medicine?+

No. A card stores entered information and an alert schedule, but the app does not keep a confirmed log of every dose taken. Seeing or dismissing a notification is not proof of taking it. The course or schedule field is text and does not automatically stop reminders on an end date. Consult medicine instructions and a clinician about missed doses rather than relying on alert delivery.

11Why are notifications missing, and which permissions are used?+

Check Android notification permission, the reminder switch, weekdays and times. Android 13 and later require a separate notification permission. The app also uses system biometrics for optional access, vibration and rescheduling after the phone restarts. Delivery depends on device settings; review restrictions relevant to Vesometr rather than creating duplicate schedules.

12What do PIN and biometrics protect?+

They limit everyday access to the app interface on the device. Android handles biometric authentication, which depends on phone support. This is not a password for exported PDF or JSON files or a promise that all data is encrypted. Check folder, cloud and recipient access separately for external files, and configure the phone's screen lock independently.

13Why is the journal empty on my new phone?+

There is no cloud account that automatically downloads the journal, and the app does not use standard Android app backup. Use a previously created JSON: keep it away from the old phone, restore it on the new one and compare the contents. Do not clear the old device before checking. If neither the old database nor a suitable file remains, the developer has no server copy to restore.

14Does deleting app data remove shared files too?+

No. Local deletion affects Vesometr's data on that device. PDFs and JSON files in Downloads, email, messengers, chosen cloud folders or recipients' storage must be considered separately. Before full deletion, decide whether a final protected copy is needed. Uninstalling the app does not recall a document already sent or establish deletion from another person's device.
