Record the drug, prescribed and actual time, missed dose and circumstances, then act on the instructions or advice of a specialist.
A worked example
In a teaching situation, someone notices a missed dose in the evening but is unsure when the previous dose was actually taken. The diary states what is known and unknown, identifies the medicine and records when the omission was noticed. The person checks that product’s instructions and asks a clinician or pharmacist if unclear. The example ends with a prepared question, not advice to take, skip or double a dose. Notification time is not treated as proof of intake.
What to do
- 01
Don't make a decision based only on general material from the Internet.
- 02
Record when you noticed the missed dose.
- 03
Find the official instructions for the specific drug.
- 04
Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you are unclear.
Common mistakes
- Automatically double next dose.
- Remove the missed dose from your history.
- Follow advice about another drug with a similar name.
Do not replace missing information with a guess
Useful details include product name and formulation, prescribed regimen, any known previous intake time and when the omission was noticed. State uncertainty explicitly. Vesometr does not automatically track swallowed doses: a card and notification describe the plan. Describe the actual event in a free diary note. The appropriate action depends on the particular instructions and circumstances, not a general internet example. Do not transfer advice for another medicine or alter the schedule to conceal a gap. Seek help for worsening symptoms rather than waiting to complete the record.
How to check the result
- Known and unknown times are distinguished.
- The specific product’s instructions are used.
- A notification is not treated as confirmed intake.
For clear terminology beforehand, see recording dosage without ambiguity.
How this works in Vesometr
Vesometr reminds you of the time, but does not give instructions if you miss it; the fact and question can be saved in a diary.

Medicine cabinet and schedule
Medication, doses, weekdays, multiple times and local reminders.
Do not change the dose, time, duration of the course and combination of drugs according to the article or the application prompt. If you miss a dose, have an unwanted reaction, or are in doubt, follow the instructions for the drug and check with your doctor or pharmacist.
