Transfer without a cloud account: save JSON, allow for current-data replacement, compare entries and review access and notifications separately. The app PIN does not encrypt JSON.
Save before changing devices
Create fresh JSON after the latest relevant changes and finish saving it to a chosen folder. Locate the file outside the app and keep an independent copy away from the old phone. Cancelling the system dialog does not confirm saving. A user-selected cloud folder can hold the file without creating automatic synchronization of the working journal.
Format and protection
JSON restores settings and supported entries, including the medicine cabinet and free-form diary. It is an ordinary text file without encryption by Vesometr's PIN; the PIN secret and biometric setting are excluded. Choose storage with appropriate access protection. PDF serves a different purpose: people read it, but it cannot restore the database.
Restoration replaces data
Before import, save a separate JSON of the new phone's current state. Restoration replaces the local set with the chosen copy instead of merging two histories. Afterwards compare early and recent entries, the medicine cabinet and relevant settings. If the contents are wrong, identify the selected file before attempting further replacements by guesswork.
Access and notifications after transfer
The target device retains its current PIN and biometric setting; JSON does not transfer access secrets. Check the app lock and system notification permissions separately from entry availability. A saved schedule does not prove alert delivery, and an alert does not confirm a dose taken. Keep the old phone intact until both data comparison and an independent backup have been checked.
