How to delete all data from Vesometr

A complete deletion clears the local application database, but does not affect copies and PDFs that the user previously saved in external folders or services.

The short answer

Before taking action, decide whether a last protected copy is needed; Deleting the local log is irreversible without such a file.

A worked example

Worked example: someone stops using the journal and deletes its data in Vesometr's settings. They then find a PDF in email and a JSON in a previously chosen folder. Clearing the local database did not revoke those documents. They check the file manager, cloud storage and previous transfers separately. If a report has reached a clinician, they ask that recipient about further retention. They decide whether to retain a final backup before deleting, rather than after calendar entries disappear, and remove unwanted copies where they are stored.

What to do

  1. 01

Check that your backup is up to date if necessary.

  2. 02

Open the option to delete all data.

  3. 03

Read the warning and acknowledge consciously.

  4. 04

Separately find and delete exported files in other applications.

Common mistakes

  • Expect that deleting the application will erase the copy in the cloud.
  • Confirm the action without checking the file.
  • Forget PDF from recipients.

Define the scope of deletion first

The working Vesometr database, user-saved documents and recipients' copies are independent objects. The in-app command clears the first but cannot control another mailbox or cloud account. If the goal is simply to start again, decide deliberately whether an older backup is still needed. If the goal is to stop storing the information, list export destinations and review each one as well. Deletion on one device does not establish deletion by another person. Do not verify the operation by restoring the old JSON, since that puts the data back into the journal.

How to check the result

  • Any required final copy is saved before deletion.
  • Local sections are empty after confirmation.
  • Export folders are checked separately.
  • The in-app command is not assumed to control previously shared files.

How this works in Vesometr

Vesometr removes a local set by explicit command; the developer does not store a server copy of the log.

Local protection
In the app

Local protection

No account or INTERNET permission, with PIN, biometrics and a JSON backup.

Limits of self-observation

Please check the destination and save location before exporting. Do not publish backups and reports via an open link; delete unnecessary copies from other people's or shared devices.
